Shredded Redwood Bark (Gorilla Hair)
Shredded Redwood Bark or commonly referred to as “Gorilla Hair” is comprised of 100% redwood. Shredded Redwood Bark is given the nickname “Gorilla Hair” due to it’s stringy and fibrous appearance resembling the hair of a Gorilla. Shredded Redwood Bark is reddish brown in color and emanates a natural forest fragrance. Shredded Redwood Bark can be used for walkways, planting areas and to control erosion. Shredded Redwood Bark is also an excellent mulch for using on slopes. When used as mulch Shredded Redwood Bark helps to conserve water, lower soil temperature, and reduce weed growth.

PRODUCT APPLICATION:

Recommended application rate for ground cover/mulch is a minimum of 2 to 4 inches deep. One cubic yard covers 324 sqft 1” deep. - PrePre-application a balanced fertilizer or A-1 Lifelike 3/8” Compost in planted areas is recommended to prevent nitrogen draw from the soil as the bark decomposes.
